The app lock feature on the Messenger app can be set from within the privacy section in the Settings page. In particular, the new privacy feature does not prohibit notifications and users will need to customize this setting under the "Notifications and Sounds" section in the app. The social media giant has announced another privacy feature for the messenger platform.

With this new feature, users will be able to control the messages or calls of other users on the exact app. In addition, Facebook will start blurring photos that appear in the message request folder, similar to what happens in WhatsApp to photos received from unknown users. Recall that recently the company launched a screen sharing feature for Messenger app users on Nenda and iOS. This feature can also be accessed on the web and desktop through the Messenger Room.]
